Are you ready to bring a new cat or kitten into your home? The shelter is open for drop-in tours and adult cat adoptions on the days listed at the bottom of the page. Please come by with your friends and family to tour the facility and meet our adult cats. Contact us by phone or email to schedule an appointment if our shelter hours do not work for you.
Kittens do not live at the shelter and therefore are not available to be seen during our open hours. If you are interested in adopting a kitten, please email our kitten adoption team. Please visit our Upcoming Events page for information on special kitten adoption events.
For the health and safety of our cats and kittens, they are adopted to indoor-only homes.
All of our cats are spayed or neutered, current on rabies and distemper vaccines, and tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) prior to going to their new home. HART provides a 7-day health guarantee.
Please be aware that all HART cats must leave the shelter or adoption event in a carrier. We occasionally have some for sale at the shelter.
Many veterinarian offices offer a free or reduced cost post-adoption well-pet visit for animals adopted from local shelters. Please contact your veterinarian for specifics.
We want every adoption to be for life, but sometimes situations change. Whether the adoption happened days, weeks, or years ago, if you can no longer keep your HART cat, we want it to come back to HART.
