Volunteer Opportunities

HART is a primarily volunteer-run organization staffed by a committed group of individuals dedicated to our shelter residents' well-being. And, as HART receives no public funding, we also rely on our volunteers to help raise funds necessary to secure our fiscal health.

Our volunteers have built a solid base of community support, engaging with a committed network of veterinarians to provide discounted medical services, and steadily raising funds from individuals within our community, local business, and foundations to give the animals in our care food, medicine, and a secure, comfortable environment.

From our in-shelter and adoption volunteers, who work directly with the cats, to our Development Committee, responsible for fundraising, learn more below about the many volunteer opportunities available with HART.
