HART-y Holiday Lunch at the Walnut Hill Holiday Craft Show

Presented by the Society of Southern Maine Craftsmen

HART volunteers will be on hand selling hearty comfort food for crafters and attendees of this annual juried craft show taking place at Wescustogo Hall & Community Center in North Yarmouth from. 9:00 a.m to 4:00 p.m. We’ll be serving up crockpot favorites, soups, savory entrees, sweet treats, vegetarian and vegan options, cold beverages and more. Hot coffee and breakfast goodies will also be available to purchase for early birds. And, we'll have to-go containers on hand, so you can bring home dinner, too!

NYA 2023 Holiday Craft Fair

Visit HART’s merch and craft sale table at the North Yarmouth Academy Parents’ Association Annual Holiday Craft Fair on the first Saturday in December from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in North Yarmouth Academy’s gymnasium (154 Main Street) in Yarmouth.

Our volunteers will be on-hand selling handmade crafts, including our ever-popular selection of cat beds & catnip toys, as well as the HART 2024 wall calendar and HART merch.

This annual event is usually held in conjunction with a town-wide holiday celebration: Yarmouth Hometown Holidays. At the NYA Craft Fair, over 60 vendors from across the state present a diverse variety of crafts including artwork, photography, jewelry, candles, soap, alpaca products, blown glass, woodworking, and much more. The fair includes treats provided by the NYA Arts Department.

HART will be kicking off the festive season along with 50 other crafters and vendors at the 18th Annual Greely Craft Fair, Saturday, November 18, 2023, from 9 a.m-2 p.m. Be sure to stop by HART's renowned Bake & Craft Sale Table where we'll have delicious baked goods and handmade items, all to benefit HART cats! This event will take place indoors at Greely Middle School, 351 Tuttle Rd., Cumberland, ME.

Kitten Adoption Event at Yankee Ford

Come by Yankee Ford in South Portland, Maine to meet some adoptable kittens! Make sure to fill out an adoption application prior to Saturday! Click here to view some of our available kittens!

The adoption fee for a HART kitten is $225. All of our kittens have received wellness exams and testing for FeLV and FIV, have been given age-appropriate vaccines and are spayed or neutered and microchipped. Have a HART 5K Fun Run and Walk

Time: 4pm
Tickets: $30 per runner/walker

Join us for the Have a HART 5K Fun Run & Walk at The Form Lab in Portland, Maine.

The scenic 5K starts at The Form Lab, following the waterfront eastern trail and looping back. After the run, enjoy food and connect with participants and vendors. Dogs are welcome to join in on your run or walk. Dress up for the chance to win "best matching dog and owner costumes." Prizes are awarded to the top 5K finishers.

Registration is $30 per runner/walker, which includes event registration and food/drink. Get your tickets now, as registration is limited. At checkout, consider also purchasing our Have a HART moisture-wicking runner shirt for $30, with additional proceeds going to HART.

The Homeless Animal Rescue Team of Maine is a no-kill cat shelter in Cumberland that provides refuge, medical attention, and finding placement in forever homes for cats. Proceeds support HART's vital work.

Rob shares scientific studies which indicate that our pets have emotions and personalities. He identifies the signs they give us and the science behind why some pets can sense entities. Join HART at Trudy Bird’s Olbar in North Yarmouth on Saturday, July 15, 2023 for Caturday Comedy; an evening of food, drink, and standup comedy benefitting HART of Maine, supporting our work helping cats in need.

Laugh the night away with comedians Ann-Marie Keene of Cats Meow Comedy, host Brian O’Connor, Johnny Ater, Tuck Tucker, Mark Turcotte, and Nic Dufault. 

Doors open at 5:30pm for Trudy Bird’s Olbar food and drink, and the show starts at 7:00pm. This is a 21+ event.

Featured Comedians

Johnny Ater, winner of the 2022 Maine's Wicked Funny Laugh-Off competition and has appeared in the Maine Comedy Festival.

Tuck Tucker has also appeared in the Maine Comedy Festival, and was a finalist on HBO's Lucky 21 Comedy Showcase.

Mark Turcotte has performed in the Gotham All Stars show in New York City, and the Boston Comedy Festival.

Ann-Marie Keene was voted Portland's Best Comedian in 2022, and likes to note that Portland's Funniest Comedian wasn't a category.

Nic Dufault has opened for Gilbert Gottfried, and has been a staple performer in the Bricks & Bridges Comedy Festivals.

Brian O’Connor has been performing standup for over a decade, and at long last making his comedy hosting debut at this special event.

HART's Putts for Purrs Golf Event

Time: 6:00pm - 8:00pm

We have a NEW DATE and TIME for our inaugural Putts for Purrs mini-golf tournament at Hermitt’s Adventure Mini-Golf at the Desert of Maine in Freeport:

Sunday, June 18, 2023 6-8PM. 

Play will involve teams of up to 4, with prizes for the winning team. Bring your friends, your best mini-golf skills, and your love for cats for some fun and a little friendly competition.

If you've already registered for the event, you don't have to do anything, and your registration will be honored on the new date. If you need to alter your registration because of the date change or have any questions, please reach out to our Putts for Purrs Event Coordinator, Kara Haupt, directly at kara.haupt@hartofme.org

Trivia at Island Dog Brewery

Join us at Island Dog Brewing to raise money for Homeless Animal Rescue Team (HART). HART representatives will be on site with information, ways to donate, and Trivia starting at 1pm!

To participate in Trivia, the suggested donation is $10. Island Dog Brewing will also donate $1 per pint and flight during the event. Plus, HART will have great prizes for winning teams and will have merchandise sales throughout the event.

NYA Holiday Craft Fair
